Padrón peppers, sometimes called pimento de padrón, hail from Galicia’s Padrón region in northwest Spain. These small green peppers are typically around 3 inches long, transitioning from a bright green to a rich red as they mature. While most are mild, a few can surprise you with a spice kick! They are traditionally prepared as tapas, but they are pretty versatile and can be used in many dishes!

Seeds Quality
Unless a listing says otherwise, every variety we sell is a stable line (F7+), so it breeds true season after season and won’t throw unexpected traits on its own. That leaves one thing to manage: cross-pollination, where stray pollen reaches a flower on an insect or a gust of wind while it’s in bloom. We take more care over isolation than most, which keeps the risk small, but no outdoor grower can rule it out entirely, so we don’t claim 100% purity. The only way to TRULY isolate chilli varieties is to grow just one variety within a quarter-mile to a mile radius from any other chilli pepper variety.
You can read what other growers think in our reviews, and the ChilliChump YouTube channel follows these plants through every season, so you can see exactly where your seeds come from. If you’re ever unhappy with seeds from us, please get in touch.

Beautifully tasty padrons. We’ve had our first crop at the end of June. They’ve got a little bit of heat to them. Not enough to overpower the Padron taste but more then you usually get. Really well balanced, just enough so you can feel it. Large (currently 2ft) plants and very prolific. The best I’ve had. Definitely growing them again.
