Unfortunately, we are no longer able to ship chilli seeds to the United States.

We have a large number of customers and viewers in the US, and we’ve always tried to accommodate requests to purchase our seeds. We know this decision will disappoint many of you.

US import regulations require phytosanitary certification and additional plant-health declarations for chilli pepper seeds, including small orders. We cannot provide this documentation at a practical cost, so our shipments cannot meet these requirements.

For some time, we continued offering US shipping while explaining the risks before purchase. When orders have been refused by customs, we’ve still received complaints, refund requests and chargebacks, despite these risks being explained beforehand.

Continuing with this arrangement is no longer sustainable for our small business, so we’ve stopped shipping to the United States. This restriction also applies to US territories.

We’re sorry to our US customers who have supported us over the years. If an affordable shipping option that meets the import requirements becomes available, we’ll reconsider this decision.

We are no longer able to ship chilli seeds to EU countries.

The EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation began applying in phases from 12 August 2026. Alongside national packaging rules, it brings registration, reporting and local representation obligations for businesses sending packaged goods to EU customers.

Meeting packaging obligations in individual destination countries brings additional costs and administration. Many of these costs apply regardless of how many orders we send to a country. For a small business like ours, they aren’t practical, so orders to EU destinations cannot be completed at checkout.

We know this is disappointing for customers across Europe, and we’re sorry. We’d like to continue supplying you, but the additional expense makes it financially unworkable.

This restriction applies to all 27 EU member states and EU territories such as the Canary Islands, Madeira, the Azores and the French overseas departments. European countries outside the EU are not affected by this particular restriction, although their own seed import regulations still apply.

The 27 EU member states are Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

If a practical and affordable way to resume shipping to EU countries becomes available, we’ll update this page.

We are no longer able to ship chilli seeds to Australia or New Zealand.

Both countries have strict biosecurity controls and screen incoming international mail for seeds and other plant material. Given this screening, we consider chilli seed parcels sent to Australia and New Zealand more likely to be stopped than those sent to many other destinations.

Their chilli seed import requirements can include phytosanitary certificates, additional plant-health declarations and disease testing. We cannot provide the required documentation and testing at a practical cost for small seed orders. Parcels that do not meet these requirements may be held, refused entry, returned or destroyed.

We’re sorry to our customers in Australia and New Zealand, and we appreciate your support. If an affordable shipping option that meets these requirements becomes available, we’ll review this decision.

For countries we can ship to, international orders generally take between 1 and 8 weeks to arrive after dispatch, depending on the destination and local postal services. Customs processing can cause additional delays.

These are estimated delivery times, not guaranteed arrival dates.

A tracked shipping option is available at checkout for international orders. If you’d like to follow your parcel’s progress, please select the tracked option when ordering.

Untracked international shipping is available at a lower cost. Untracked parcels don’t provide location or delivery progress updates, so we won’t be able to tell you where your parcel is while it’s in transit.

All international orders are sent through Royal Mail’s international postal service. Every parcel includes a CN22/CN23 customs declaration identifying the contents as chilli pepper seeds. Shipments are subject to customs inspection and the import regulations of the destination country.

Every country has its own regulations concerning the import of seeds. Some allow small quantities for personal growing, while others require permits, phytosanitary certificates, disease testing or other documentation.

Please check the import requirements for your country before ordering. If you aren’t sure, check with your country’s agricultural authority or customs agency.

The country list includes destinations we cannot supply so customers can see the explanation when selecting them. Checkout prevents orders to these destinations. For other countries, import rules may vary by species, so being able to select a country does not confirm that every type of seed can legally be imported there.

If your country requires documentation that we cannot provide, please do not place an order. Parcels may be delayed, held for inspection or refused entry if they do not meet the import requirements.

Shipping charges do not include local import duties, taxes or customs handling fees unless stated at checkout. Any charges imposed by the destination country are normally payable by the recipient.

If your parcel is detained, refused entry or returned by customs, please contact us with your order details. We will review each case according to the circumstances and applicable consumer law.

We’re unable to provide phytosanitary certificates with our seed orders.

The standard certificate fee is currently £25.52 per phytosanitary certificate. Inspection, laboratory testing and administration can add further costs.

For an order containing a few packets of chilli seeds, these additional costs make certification impractical for us and our customers.

Some countries require phytosanitary certification before chilli seeds can legally be imported. This is one of the reasons we’ve stopped shipping to the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

If your country requires a phytosanitary certificate for imported chilli seeds, please do not place an order, as we cannot provide the necessary documentation.
