At a glance: UK orders typically arrive within 2 to 4 business days of dispatch. International orders take 1 to 8 weeks depending on destination. Processing & Dispatch
Orders are dispatched within 5 business days. We do a weekly post office run every Thursday, so your order will go out on the next available Thursday after processing.
UK Delivery
Most UK orders arrive within 2 to 4 business days after dispatch. A tracking option is available at checkout if you’d like to follow your parcel’s progress.
International Delivery
We ship seeds worldwide and we’re always happy to have international customers. However, there are some important things to read and understand before you place an order.
- Delivery time: 1 to 8 weeks, depending on destination and local postal services. Some countries are quicker than others, and delivery times can be unpredictable.
- Tracking: A tracked shipping option is now available at checkout for international orders. If you’d like to be able to follow your parcel’s progress, select the tracked option when ordering. Untracked international orders are also available at a lower cost, but we won’t be able to provide any updates on progress or location.
- How we ship: All international orders are now sent through Royal Mail’s standard international postal service. Every parcel includes a CN22 customs declaration form, which fully identifies the contents as chilli pepper seeds. We no longer ship in plain or unmarked envelopes. This means your parcel will be clearly declared at the point of export and will pass through customs in the normal way.
- Customs and import rules: Every country has its own regulations around importing seeds, and because our parcels are now fully declared, they will be visible to customs in your country. In some cases seeds may be delayed, held, inspected, or refused entry. It is your responsibility to check whether chilli seeds can be legally imported into your country before ordering. If you are unsure, please check with your country’s agricultural or border agency first.
- Duties and taxes: Shipping charges do not include any local duties, taxes, or handling fees that may be applied in your country. These are payable by you on delivery.
- Phytosanitary certificates: We’re unable to provide phytosanitary certificates with orders. To give you an idea of why: each certificate costs £25.52 per order, plus additional inspection and administration costs on top of that. For a small seed packet that might cost a few pounds, that overhead makes it completely unworkable for both us and our customers. Some countries technically require a phyto cert for seed imports. If your country is one of them, your order is at a higher risk of being stopped or refused at the border, and we cannot refund orders that are seized or destroyed by customs as a result.
Please read before ordering internationally: By placing an international order you are confirming that you have checked the import rules for your country and that you accept the risks involved. Because all parcels are now fully declared with a CN22 customs form, they are subject to inspection by your country’s customs authority. We cannot take responsibility for orders that are delayed, seized, or refused entry at the border. We also cannot refund orders that are confiscated or destroyed by customs. We have fulfilled our obligation by dispatching your order lawfully from the UK. If you have had difficulty importing seeds into your country in the past, or if you know your country has strict restrictions on seed imports, we strongly recommend against ordering. We want to be straightforward with you: the risk of customs interception is real, and by completing your purchase you are accepting that risk.
Returns & Refunds
If a parcel is returned to us, we’re happy to work with you. You can choose a reshipment (you cover the new postage cost) or a refund of the product cost once the items are received back in their original condition. Shipping fees are not refundable. Please note that parcels seized or destroyed by customs cannot be refunded, as they do not constitute a return.
