The Hinkelhatz is a rare heirloom chilli pepper cherished by the Pennsylvania Dutch for over 150 years. This is a yellow variant of the traditional Hinkelhatz. Its small, heart-shaped pods mature from green to a warm yellow, delivering a tangy flavour with a delayed, upper mid-level heat ranging between 5,000 and 30,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Ideal for pickling and making chilli powder, this Capsicum annuum variety thrives in pots, reaching up to 50 cm in height, and is well-suited for cooler climates.
