These CC Fushimi seeds come from a Fushimi plant I’ve been selectively breeding for some unique traits. The plants start out with variegated, asymmetrical leaves, and when the chillies appear they carry a distinct striping that fades as they ripen to red (though it stays faintly visible). The flavour is everything you’d expect from a Fushimi: delicious.
One thing to be aware of: Not every seed will show the variegation (although I am getting around 90% success with them). I’d recommend sowing a few and keeping the seedlings that display the variegation and asymmetry. This is usually apparent fairly early in the seedling stage.

Seeds arrived very quickly and we’re well packaged. I will update after germination.

About 90 percent of the seeds I received have germinated, can’t wait to taste the pods later in the season!

Remarkably special! Very pretty asymmetry, wiggles, and patterns in the leaves. Healthy little plant. Looking forward to peppers from this one!

Bought seeds last year as mine weren’t viable (regular Fushimi). Around 90% sprouted quickly, the remaining 10% appeared later.
The reactions to it were: “looks kinda weird” or “what happened to that pepper?”. Of course there was nothing wrong, plants were healthy, with strong variegation. I grew them in “Quad-grow” system in my cool greenhouse over the cloudy season of 2024 in Northern Ireland. One plant was transplanted to a regular 10L pot. Those in Quad-grow system grew much better. Overall, I managed to get 4 harvests in the course of the season.
These peppers ale stunning, grow vigorously, and it’s a striped Fushimi, what’s not to love. Would have bought again but still have few seeds left, instead I decided to write a quick review.
