Every seed we sell is grown at the ChilliChump homestead, so we control the whole process from sowing to harvest. Seeds are handpicked from healthy plants, processed using methods we’ve refined over the years, and germination-tested before they reach you.
Unless a listing says otherwise, every variety we sell is a stable line (F7+), so it breeds true season after season and won’t throw unexpected traits on its own. That leaves one thing to manage: cross-pollination, where stray pollen reaches a flower on an insect or a gust of wind while it’s in bloom. Completely ruling it out would mean growing a single variety with no other chilli within a quarter-mile to a mile. We take more care over isolation than most, which keeps the risk small, but no outdoor grower can rule it out entirely, so we don’t claim 100% purity.
You can read what other growers think in our reviews, and the ChilliChump YouTube channel follows these plants through every season, so you can see exactly where your seeds come from. If you’re ever unhappy with seeds from us, please get in touch.

One very prolific chilli. I bought these from Chillichump last year and had a bumber crop. The best way to use them was to sweet pickle them. I didn’t get to try many as my wife loved them. I only planted 5 seeds, but all germinated. Thanks.

Great germination with strong healthy plants. Easy to grow, good looking plant and good tasting pepper

My Malawian Piquante seeds always achieve 100% germination. This winter I tried an experiment by growing one indoors over LED grow lights, and it was quite the success. It was eventually potted on to a 1.5 gallon nursery pot and produced two harvests before spring. I was able to use ChilliChump’s recipe to make two pints of delicious pickled peppadews that were quickly devoured. I have several younger plants that I am excited to plant outdoors this season. These will probably be on my “every year” list of chillies to grow.

I’ve grown these two years running now. My favourite “snacking while gardening” pepper. Very prolific, and the pickled peppadew recipe is just glorious.

The Malawian Piquante was the rockstar of the pepper garden this year. I used the pickling recipe from Chili Chump and they are amazing.

Easily one of the best chili peppers you can grow. Massive plant, super productive, and perfect for pickling.

Great germination rates, super early fruits and prolific – and it’s only very early days in the growing season in the UK being mid June. Very, very happy with these
