Introducing the 2024 ChilliChump Seed Kit (CCSK2024)! This is the first year that we are providing the seed kit ourselves, and the choices for the first time needed to be carefully considered!
The focus for 2024’s varieties is mainly on usefulness and taste. You will recognise some of these varieties from the many sauce spicy recipe videos I have released on my YouTube channel.
CC Piri-Piri (~175k SHU)
I have been cultivating and isolating the CC Piri-Piri for many years. It is a strong cultivar which produces many delicious chillies. It is a favourite of mine for a reason! It is the MOST used chilli in my kitchen. You will find many recipes on my YouTube channel using this fantastic chilli! I would consider this my overall favourite chilli.
CC Jalapeno (~12k SHU)
The Jalapeno chilli pepper is an absolute classic and can be used in so many ways. I have spent many years crossing and isolating Jalapenos until I got one that had the qualities I look for in a Jalapeno Chilli Pepper: Good size, decent spice level, and a prolific producer. I believe I have all these qualities with this cultivar!
Ring of Fire (~80k SHU)
Tastes very similar to a cayenne, but a lot more heat! Another very versatile chilli pepper. Perfect for making your own Buffalo Style hot sauce!
Malawian Piquante, also known as the Peppadew (~2k SHU)
This is one seriously delicious chilli pepper, one of my favourites to pickle. Can take a little while to start setting fruit, but once it does, you will get loads of these gorgeous red chillies.
Hainan Yellow Lantern (~300k SHU)
The heat of this chilli is around that of a habanero or scotch bonnet. It is a perfect chilli for a hotter sauce, and I love the flavour of it! It is what I use for my popular One Punch Knockout Sauce

Bleeding Jigsaw (~1.6 million SHU)
Some folks claim this can reach over 2 million SHU! Its an absolute scorcher, but also a beautiful looking chilli. The orange/yellow of the pod bleeds up in to the calyx. It is a fantastic producer once it gets going.
